Partner & Head of Mass Tort Practice

California

Uzair Saleem is a Partner at Campeón Legal and the Head of the firm’s Mass Tort practice group, representing clients in complex and high-profile cases across the country. He has extensive experience advocating for both individual and corporate clients, including Fortune 100 tech companies, large insurance carriers, NBA and NFL professional athletes, asylum seekers, and indigent criminal defendants. A seasoned litigator, Uzair has tried multiple bench and jury trials to verdict, helping his clients secure numerous seven- and eight-figure settlements.

Graduating law school at 25 years old, Uzair quickly distinguished himself as a rising star in the legal field, becoming an intra-school negotiations champion and a national mock trial competitor. One of his professors described him as “one of the most talented young trial lawyers he has ever seen.”

Uzair has litigated cases involving employment law, real estate, and personal injury, but specializes in high-stakes mass tort litigation. He has focused his practice on representing victims of utility-caused wildfires that occurred in 2017, 2018, and 2019. In a court-appointed leadership role, his prior firm represented several thousand fire victims against PG&E in the largest utility bankruptcy proceeding in United States history, which ultimately resolved in a record $13.5 billion settlement.

Uzair also played a pivotal role on his firm’s litigation team, which was appointed to leadership in the National Prescription Opiate litigation before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. This $30 billion litigation sought to hold opioid manufacturers and distributors accountable for their role in the national opioid crisis.

With a proven track record in both individual and mass tort litigation, Uzair remains committed to securing justice for his clients in some of the nation’s most consequential cases.
